Ikusi lleva ya más de 20 años desplegando en varios lugares del mundo Sistemas de Transporte Inteligente (ITS, en sus siglas en inglés) para optimizar la planificación y la operación de los sistemas de transporte, incrementando la seguridad de los usuarios, disminuyendo la emisión de contaminantes, resolviendo los problemas de congestionamiento e incentivando, en su caso, la generación de nuevos ingresos a los operadores y/o propietarios de las infraestructuras carreteras.
Estos sistemas permiten captar datos de parámetros clave de la operación utilizando sensores de última generación, mediante los que se pueden detectar y gestionar incidentes en la infraestructura, analizar el comportamiento de los flujos vehiculares, contar vehículos, su velocidad, su peso, su ubicación o sus retrasos.
El correcto aprovechamiento de las tecnologías implicadas en la implementación de una solución ITS posibilita monitorizar los datos capturados, analizarlos, tratarlos en el centro de control de tránsito y distribuirlos, en tiempo real, dando capacidad de reacción en tiempo real a los operadores de las vialidades y autoridades, así como a los propios usuarios, ante cualquier situación problemática.
La automatización de las rutinas de supervisión mediante ITS disminuye el retraso en tareas que habitualmente requerían de la intervención humana, facilitando el despacho oportuno de servicios de emergencia (bomberos, policía, ambulancias, apoyo vial, etc.), lo que por ejemplo en caso de accidente constituye una diferencia clave para salvar vidas y proteger las infraestructuras.
El acceso a información automatizada, que se visualiza de forma simplificada, ordenada y sencilla, permite que planificadores, operadores y autoridades de transporte puedan tomar las mejores decisiones para reducir los costes operativos en los servicios, coordinar de forma óptima los recursos y anticiparse a problemas y tendencias futuras.
Los ITS están revolucionando el campo de la movilidad urbana, logrando de paso que los usuarios del transporte público mejoren su experiencia de uso al contar con rutas más eficientes e información sobre la ocupación de carreteras, o transportes (información vital siempre, y más en situaciones como la actual de pandemia). Los subsistemas de un ITS deben funcionar como una extensión de las capacidades de los operadores en el centro de control de tránsito, ampliando los “sentidos” de los mismos para identificar y responder oportunamente a cualquier situación que pueda impactar en las vías de transporte y los elementos que se desplazan por éstas.
La experiencia de Ikusi
Como se mencionaba al inicio, Ikusi cuenta con varios casos de éxito como el proyecto de movilidad inteligente, postes SOS, gestión de aforo, video vigilancia, infraestructura de fibra óptica para la ruta 160 en Chile o la gestión de aforo, videovigilancia, estaciones meteorológicas, identificación y clasificación de vehículos de la Autopista Supersur de Bilbao, entre otros.
Más recientemente, tal y como anunciamos hace algunos días, hemos sumado a nuestras referencias el proyecto de renovación tecnológica de las plazas de cobro en los puentes fronterizos de Paso del Norte, Zaragoza-Ysleta, Guadalupe-Tornillo, y Lerdo-Stanton, operados por el Fideicomiso de Puentes Fronterizos del estado de Chihuahua (México). Este proyecto incluye la implementación de un nuevo sistema de Peaje y Telepeaje, Sistemas Inteligentes de Transporte (ITS), así como la interconexión de los sistemas con el Centro de Control de Operaciones de los Puentes Fronterizos.
