Johnson Control una vez más da un paso adelante en la protección y monitoreo de edificaciones con la instalación de sus productos y soluciones en el centro de datos ODATA BG01 en Colombia, uno de los más grandes de la región.
Conocido como BG01, el centro de datos de ODATA se encuentra a 15 minutos de Bogotá, en la Zona Franca Metropolitana, y es el más grande en Colombia. Esta instalación ocupa un área de 6000 m2,, el equivalente a un campo de fútbol, con tres pisos y un área blanca con seis salas en las cuales se tiene capacidad para albergar más de 1.000 racks. Este centro de datos servirá como modelo para los planes de expansión futuros de la empresa en la región.
Estas características, junto con la administración estricta del acceso de los empleados y contratistas exigían un sistema integral de administración de edificios BMS que brindara al cliente final la capacidad de monitorear y administrar todas las funciones del edificio (controles de climatización, iluminación, UPS, Subestaciones) desde una ubicación central o un dispositivo móvil. Además, el sistema de administración de edificios debía poder integrarse fácilmente con el sistema de seguridad, que incluía control de acceso, video, alarma de incendios y sistema de supresión de incendios.
Tomando en consideración, en primer lugar las dimensiones de este centro de datos y sus necesidades particulares, el primer paso que el integrador UPSISTEMAS realizó fue la instalación del sistema de administración de eventos y seguridad C•CURE 9000, un sistema de control de acceso dinámico a nivel empresarial que monitorea eventos, gestiona el personal, crea reportes y brinda una ubicación central para visualizar video y administrar a los visitantes, ya sea a través de una computadora personal o una aplicación móvil. Este sistema permite que ODATA regule fácilmente los permisos de acceso tanto para empleados como para visitantes, y que verifique y responda ante incidentes significativos.

Además, ODATA selecciona credenciales que le brindan al sistema un nivel adicional de seguridad, ya que utiliza tarjetas altamente encriptadas y lectoras que cumplen con OSDP (protocolo de dispositivo abierto supervisado). OSDP es un reconocido protocolo de control de acceso diseñado para mejorar la interoperabilidad entre dispositivos de control de acceso.
Las comunicaciones entre el controlador y el servidor están encriptadas mediante el estándar de encriptación avanzado AES 256. Para las áreas más críticas del edificio, ODATA exige que los empleados y los contratistas usen autenticación multifactor, un proceso que combina las lectoras de tarjetas inteligentes con la tecnología de huella biométrica de las lectoras Suprema para confirmar la identidad de una persona.
Para monitorear visualmente la instalación, el centro de datos implementó un sistema de videovigilancia robusto formado por cámaras de vigilancia internas y externas. Hay más de un centenar de cámaras de vigilancia Illustra Flex en la instalación, lo que incluye el área de recepción, los estacionamientos, corredores, ascensores y las salas de servidores.
Múltiples sistemas de grabación en red exacqVision Z-Series de alto desempeño, en arquitectura redundante, brindan al centro de datos una solución de almacenamiento de video escalable y de alta capacidad. El sistema admite más de 90 días de almacenamiento en alta resolución en cada cámara ubicada en áreas críticas del centro de datos. Las cámaras cuentan con conmutación en caso de fallas, lo que permite una recuperación automática del sistema cuando ocurre una falla de energía o de red.
Ciberseguridad, un paso adelante en tecnología para centros de datos
Apoyándose en los más recientes avances tecnológicos, un beneficio importante del sistema C•CURE 9000 es parte del Programa de Protección Cibernética de Tyco y cumple con los lineamientos rigurosos de ciberseguridad establecidos por la empresa. Esto comienza con la fase de desarrollo del producto y continúa durante el ciclo de vida completo de la solución. Un equipo de respuesta rápida monitorea y responde rápidamente ante las amenazas de ciberseguridad en caso de que sucedan.
“Tyco cuenta con una plataforma robusta que permite la integración de todos los sistemas de manera natural y sostenible en el tiempo y que apoya el crecimiento futuro del centro de datos”, destacó Fabio Cortés, Gerente de Ingeniería de ODATA, en BG01. “Tyco también cuenta con soporte local, que es esencial teniendo en cuenta la confidencialidad de la información”.
El desarrollo implementado en ODATA BG01 permitió realizar el diseño de una solución integral que incorporará capacidades adicionales para facilitar la escalabilidad a futuro del sistema. “Trabajar de la mano del cliente fue fundamental para lograr un resultado final que le permite a ODATA la protección y monitoreo de las actividades en el interior de las instalaciones y adelantarse a cualquier amenaza que pudiera presentarse antes de que ésta suceda”, destacó Luis Enrique Bonilla, Gerente de Desarrollo de Negocios para Latinoamérica y el Caribe de Johnson Controls.
