En este sentido, las aplicaciones que permiten hacer análisis de lo que la cámara capta a través del sonido y el video, se van a posicionar como una importante tecnología que la industria de generación de energía deberá buscar integrar en sus estrategias de seguridad operativa”
Además, en la industria son frecuentes las condiciones climáticas extremas, los entornos de trabajo peligrosos y las ubicaciones remotas y sin personal. Por esta razón, también es necesario el respaldo de un sistema de vigilancia fiable para tener pleno conocimiento de la situación en todo momento. En consecuencia, es vital aplicar un conjunto de componentes que gestionen la seguridad y faciliten la supervisión del cumplimiento de políticas y la evaluación de riesgos. Este componente usa ondas electromagnéticas para detectar movimiento y no es sensible a las cosas que normalmente activan falsas alarmas, como las sombras en movimiento, gotas de lluvia o insectos. Por consecuente, es menos probable que las falsas alarmas distraigan al personal de las verdaderas amenazas. Además, a diferencia de las cámaras de video, ofrece información importante sobre objetos detectados, como su posición exacta, así como la rapidez y dirección de sus movimientos. De esta forma se puede detectar automáticamente lo que ha ingresado a un área y distinguir si es o no una amenaza real.
Lo interesante de estas soluciones es su versatilidad, ya que pueden adaptarse para sobrellevar la crisis sanitaria que impactó directamente a la infraestructura crítica.
