En el segundo día del Mobile World Congress 2023 en Barcelona, tuvo lugar la Hackathon de reconocimiento facial organizada por Digital Future Society en la que Herta participó junto a otras empresas.
Esta Hackathon consistió en una intensa jornada en la que las empresas participantes tenían como reto desarrollar y demostrar en vivo diferentes metodologías que permitan adaptar diferentes aspectos éticos y de privacidad del reconocimiento facial a la actual guía ética del AI Act de la Unión Europea.
Al finalizar la jornada, el equipo del jurado formado por 9 expertos en el ámbito de la IA, ciberseguridad, privacidad y reglamento europeo, concluyó que la empresa Herta lideraba el cumplimiento de la normativa en cuanto a ética y privacidad.
Se trata de un premio pionero a nivel europeo que pretende galardonar el seguimiento de unos estándares en la implementación de una tecnología que se adhiere a los códigos éticos y de derechos humanos.
“Nos gustaría agradecer al Gobierno y a la Secretaria de Estado de Inteligencia Artificial por entregarnos este premio”, resaltaba Javier Rodríguez Saeta, CEO de Herta, “ya que honra los esfuerzos que Herta ha realizado en este campo para lograr una tecnología con la transparencia necesaria para el ciudadano, que aporte la precisión y calidad necesaria a los usuarios finales y que a su vez cumpla con la normativa vigente dentro de la Unión Europea”.
